It offers a unique musical tapestry that’s basically isolated from any kind of clear genre affiliation. It’s pop, but then it clearly isn’t. It flirts with soul and jazz and improvisation, but then it actually isn’t too interested in using the operatic ingredients connected to it to feed the purists. Instead, "Ocean" is offering a projection surface for the movie inside the listener’s mind, forcing them to listen carefully - and choose their colors wisely.
In October 22, I finally consolidated a string of single releases into an EP titled Creatures.It features a variety of wonderful artists I collaborated, such as Composer/vocalists REAand Andrina Bollinger, spoken word artist aint about me, saxophonist Simon Spiess, Morris Kliphius on french horn. Tobias Preisigon Violinand of course my dear productionteam, Composer and Producer Alexandre J. Maurer and electronica artist Jan Bangas my mentor on this journey.
Benedikt Wieland
Sound artist, bass player and composer oscillating between Switzerland and Berlin, Germany. Fluent in a wide range of sonic expressions which encompass experimental, avant-pop, new jazz and electronica in a variety of forms. His music tends to be process- based. It also serves as something of an impressionistic diary. In 2022 he started to release unusual Bass sounds, where the bass sounded like an Orchestra. A journey that gave birth to BenMaar, his alter ego. He was also the founder and leader of the cinematic post-jazz band Kaos Protokoll, as well as the founder of the label Prolog Records.
